Obituary for Matthew Daniel DiGiandomenico
Matthew D. DiGiandomenico, age 83, of Marlton, NJ passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family.
Matthew was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Rocco and Carina DiGiandomenico. As a young man, he bravely served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he earned a degree in Accounting from St. Joseph’s University. Matthew served as the Northeast Regional Budget Officer for the National Cemetery Office of the Veteran’s Administration for many years.
Matthew is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Judith DiGiandomenico (nee Casso); daughter, Carin Shemeley (Thomas); and grandchildren, Xander Brown and Gavin Shemeley. Matt was happiest when spending time with his family and entertaining friends. Matt and Judy created special memories traveling to his parent’s birthplace in Italy and spending summers in Ocean City. His faith in God sustained him and was the anchor of his life. He will be sorely missed by all those who cherished him.
Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10:00-12:00PM, and his funeral service immediately following at 12:00PM. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will follow at First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Moorestown, NJ.
