Obituary for Michael Owen McDonough
Michael Owen McDonough, age 62, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ
Michael fought his cancer like a true warrior. Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 27th, 1956 and gained his wings on May 2nd, 2019.
Devoted son of Martin O. (Sonny) and Rita Marie McDonough. He is survived by his loving sister and caretaker Georgeann M. Ketcik. Loving godfather to his niece, Katrina Oyola (James Rae) and loving uncle to great nephew, Nolan M. Loehr and great niece, Grace A.Loehr.
Michael was a Merchant Marine for ten years during the Vietnam Era, he was very proud of his service as we are of him. He enjoyed gardening, collecting coins and baseball cards. He spent his childhood years in Forked River, fishing and crabbing. He was a loving cousin and friend to many.
Friends are invited to attend his graveside service, Saturday May 11th, 2019 at 11 AM at the Good Luck Cemetery, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humane Society In honor of his beloved "MeatHead", his pup he adored!
