Obituary for Patricia Hill (Hudson)

Patricia Hill, nee Hudson, born on New Years eve 1935 in London, England within the sound of Bow Bells allowing her to say she is a true Cockney. Pat married Edmond Hill, a Navy man in 1957. In 1958 they along with Pat’s mother and their budgerigar went from England to El Paso, TX. Pat gave birth to their son Steven later that year. In 1960 they moved to New Jersey where Pat resided until her passing on 17 April 2021.

She worked for American Foam Rubber, Wood Conversion and Conwed working her way up to personnel manager. Pat retired in 2004 after working for the NJ Bridge Commission.

After Pat retired she enjoyed traveling, taking trip West to LA for Rose Parade, to Arizona to walk across the rebuilt London Bridge in Lake Havasu City and to see the Grand Canyon. Travel to Europe included Ireland and England to reconnect with lost family members.

She enjoyed Irish dance classes, trips to Walnut Street theatre, working the bake table for St Mary’s Christmas Bazaar, serving food at their Ladle of Love soup Kitchen, and lunch with the “Red Chicks”.

She is survived by her husband Edmond Hill, son Steven and his wife Melody.

Pat did not wish a funeral and her ashes will be spread by her son. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
