Obituary for Peter John Cusick
Peter John Cusick, 72, of Lumberton, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on April 2, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late John and Alice Cusick, Peter lived in Weehawkin and Demarest and has lived in Lumberton for over 20 years. During his high school and college years, Peter was a stand out athlete, playing baseball and basketball. He was scouted and played professional baseball for the San Diego Padres in the AA and AAA leagues for a few years. Prior to retiring, Peter was a criminal investigator for New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. He was a loyal, handsome guy who was always there for those that he loved and always put his best foot forward. Peter was a tough cookie but had a soft spot for his sidekicks, his pups.
Beloved husband of 43 years to Cynthia "Cindy" Jones-Cusick; loving brother of Susan (the late Ken) Muller, Virginia (Ralph Sr.) Day, Noriene (John) Douglas, John (Ellen) Cusick. Peter is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peter's visitation on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals. Time of Remembrance will begin at 7:00 PM.
