Obituary for Providencia Trani (Santiago)
Providencia Trani, age 91, passed away on April 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico to the late Emilio Santiago and Maria Rivera and was raised by her grandparents, Lorenzo Santiago and Eulogia Torres. A former resident of Bronx, New York, she moved to Riverside in 1961 to raise her family. She was a parishioner of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church in Beverly, NJ. She enjoyed cooking and gardening but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Providencia is survived by her husband of 68 years, Eduardo Trani; her children, Eduardo Trani, Jr., Ronald Trani (Kathy) and Diane Trani (Peter); her grandchildren, Eduardo III, Robert, Ronald, Eric, Tara, Arianna, Anthony, Rick, Velen and Christina; her siblings, Reina, Eulogia, Manuel and Edwin. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Monday April 22, 2024 from 10-11am at the Jesus Good Shepherd Church 805 Warren Street Beverly, NJ 08010 immediately followed by her funeral mass at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Riverside, NJ.
