Obituary for Raymond Clarence Gardner

Raymond C. Gardner, age 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 11, 2022 in Vineland, NJ.

Raymond was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Raymond and Edna Gardner, and had resided in Mt. Laurel, NJ for many years before his current residence in Vineland. When Raymond turned eighteen, he bravely enlisted into the United States Army and served in both World War II and The Korean War. After his military service, he worked as an Electrical Engineer for RCA for many years. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed making model airplanes, going swimming and bicycle riding, and photography. He also loved playing cards, crossword puzzles, and reading his bible. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family; going to the beach with them and telling them stories. He is very loved and will be very missed.

Raymond is predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn F. Gardner, and his brother, John Gardner. He is survived by his children, Raymond P. Gardner (Heidi), Karen L. Gardner-Brown (Denis), and Barbara A. Gardner-Owens (Robert); and grandchildren, Sandra Merrit (Jim), Thomas Owens, Eric Gardner (Julie), Jeffery Brown, and Daniel Owens.

Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 10:00-11:00AM, and his service immediately after at 11:00AM. Both will be held at Easton Bible Church, 2407 Fostertown Rd, Hainesport, NJ 08036. Interment will follow at the Easton Bible Church Cemetery.
