Obituary for Rene Burckhardt
Rene George Burckhardt, age 66, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Rene was born May 11, 1955 in Mosul, Iraq, to the late Marta (nee Kugler) and John A. Burckhardt. Rene was married to his high school sweetheart, Jean Burckhardt, for many years and had two children Kelly and John. Rene was the life of every party, always playing music, telling stories and the first to the dance floor. His passions were his family, hockey (from Flyers games to pick up driveway games with the neighborhood kids), grilling, home and yard improvement and catching sun in the yard and in Long Beach Island, NJ.
Rene is survived by his loving wife Jean Burckhardt; daughter Kelly Naudain (Roy); son John Burckhardt; sister Jaqlyn Burckhardt; brother Alex Burckhardt; loving grandchildren Khloe, Johnny, Eddie, Andrea, Ryan, and Peyton; many loving nieces and nephews; In-Laws; extended family; and close family friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Marta (nee Kugler) and John A. Burckhardt.
Family and friends are welcome to Mass on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 W. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Following Mass, there will also be a visitation from 12:00-1:00PM at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
