Obituary for Richard Leyrer
Richard Leyrer, age 88, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away while surrounded by loving family on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Mr. Leyrer was born, raised and lived in the Germantown section of Philadelphia before moving to Mount Laurel, New Jersey, in 1997. Mickey served his country honorably within the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was member of the American Legion and enjoyed traveling in his leisure. He was especially fond of cruises, casinos, Vegas and Hawaii. But above all, he cherished the time spent with family and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Mickey was predeceased by his beloved spouse in 2016, Johanna Leyrer; brother, John Leyrer. He is survived by his children, Diane Seidman (Mitch), Richard Leyrer (Eileen), Robert Leyrer (Ximena), Raymond Leyrer (Colleen); brother, William Leyrer; sister, Joan Ianuzzi; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00 to 11:30 AM immediately followed by the Celebration of Life service, both at Schetter Funeral Home, 304 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
