Obituary for Riet Heinink

Riet Heinink, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family.

Riet was born in Twello, the Netherlands, and resided there until moving to the United States with her husband, Lambert Heinink, in 1956. They settled in North Jersey, moved to Central Jersey to raise their family, to then retire in South Jersey residing for 28 years in Holiday Village in Mt. Laurel.

Riet was active in fund raising for the Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Moorestown, NJ. In her free time Riet enjoyed being creative with painting, drawing in pastels, knitting and crocheting as well as gardening and baking. But above all else, Riet cherished spending time with her family devoting her time and love especially to her grandsons. She also loved traveling back to the Netherlands to see her sisters and extended family. She is much loved and will be sadly missed by many.

Riet is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Lambert Heinink. She is survived by their loving daughters, Geri Giambrone and her fiance Tom, and Monique Viellette and her husband Edward; and grandsons, Marc Giambrone and his wife Liza, Eric Giambrone and his partner Leslie, and Brenden Viellette.

Family and friends are welcome to her visitation on Thursday December 9, from 9:15-10:15AM, followed immediately by her Memorial Mass at 10:30AM. Both will be held at St. John Neumann Church, 560 Walton Ave, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. Inurnment will follow mass at Jesus, Bread of Life Cemetery, 3055 Fostertown Rd, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054.
