Obituary for Robert "Bob" Gervasoni

Robert “Bob” Gervasoni of Medford, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was 80 years old.

Bob was born in Trenton, NJ, where he attended Trenton Catholic High School and met the love of his life, Barbara Gervasoni (nee Pitcherello). They were married in September 1962, and just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year. After getting married, they moved to Japan, where they lived until 1965. They later lived in many states, including Pennsylvania, California, and finally New Jersey. They had three daughters together: Paula, Karen, and Vicki. Bob was a graduate of LaSalle University. He also was a senior vice president at Okidata, and eventually started his own company, AGSON, in 1989.

Bob loved to golf and was an avid sports fan, with his loyalties spanning from his grandchildren’s youth sports leagues to professional teams. He also loved to learn, electing to take college courses at the local community college after he retired. Above all else, however, he loved his family most of all, stating that raising his family was his biggest accomplishment in life.

Bob and Barbara remained close with their best friends from high school throughout their lives, spending every New Year’s Eve together. The couple traveled the world together, from living in Japan as newlyweds to visiting Europe later in life. Bob had a great sense of humor and loved telling funny stories to his grandchildren; when he was around, there was always lots of laughter. Bob loved life and everyone in his life loved him. He will be terribly missed by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his three daughters, Paula Gervasoni (Liz), Karen Mullen (John), and Vicki Werosta (Karl); his five grandchildren, Matthew Belanger (Brianna), Kayla Mullen, Samuel Belanger (Melissa), Michael Mullen, and Ava Werosta; his sister, Carol Geraci (Joseph); his brother-in-law, Lawrence Pitcherello; and his sister-in-law, Judith Chiacchio (Thomas).

Friends and family are invited to join for a remembrance greeting on Saturday, March 18, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Rd., Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. A service will take place at 12 PM, followed by a luncheon at Carlucci’s Waterfront, 876 Centerton Rd., Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the Wounded Warrior Project.
