Ronald V. Giongo, Sr., age 86, of Huntington Mills PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Ron was born on August 15, 1936 to the late Beatrice and Hugo Giongo in Philadelphia, PA.  He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.  Ron was a highly decorated Detective-Sergeant with the Philadelphia Police Department for 30 years. During his career he worked security detail for many dignitaries and presidents.  After his retirement from the police department, Ron worked for the Fraternal Order of Police for 15 years before moving to the Poconos. In his free-time he loved spending time with his family, was a voracious reader and an even more voracious weather watcher. He will be missed deeply by his loved ones.

Ronald is predeceased by his wife Anna Jane and his brother, Al. He is survived by his children, Ronald Jr. and Susan Stauss (Tim): his grandchildren, Anna Jane, Owen Michael and Cooper Thomas; many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are welcome to his viewing on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9AM – 11AM, and his funeral service immediately following at 11:00AM. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment private at the request of the family.
