Obituary for Rosalie Elizabeth Fitzpatrick (Payne)
Rosalie E. Fitzpatrick (nee Payne), age 96, passed away at home peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Rosalie was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Charles and Elizabeth Payne and later resided in Willingboro and then Hainesport. She was a devoted wife and mother and cared for so many, with nothing ever too much trouble if she thought you needed her. Rosalie was strong in her Catholic faith and was a member of Corpus Christi Church for over 60 years. She contributed her love and time to Corpus Christi with involvement in PTA (past president), Altar and Rosary Society, Annual Carnivals, Women of Joy, volunteering at the Soup Kitchen in Phila and many other volunteer activities. Also loved her Red Hatters and “The Glen” Rosary Group. She was the strength to so many in their time of need and all who knew her loved her dearly.
Rosalie is predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Patrick Joseph, her dear son, Joseph, and her loving daughter, Patricia, 4 sisters, Regina Armstrong, Clare Sears, Joan Robinson and Elizabeth Copestick, and brothers, James and Charles Payne.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Fitzpatrick, Michael Fitzpatrick, Kevin Fitzpatrick (Lorraine) and Brian Fitzpatrick (Mary Ellen), 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Jaclyn), Matthew( Anna), Megan and Daniel, and 2 great-grandchildren, Keira and Riley, and her brother Joseph Payne(Joan). Rosalie also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 8:30-10:00AM, at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Rd, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM, at Corpus Christi RC Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046. Interment will take place privately at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, NJ.
