Obituary for Shirma Smith
Shirma Margot Smith, of Mount Laurel, formerly of Jersey City, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022.
Shirma was born on February 10, 1951 to the late Victoria and Foster Garcia in Trinidad. She was a hardworking woman, retired from Met Life in Manhattan where she was a secretary. Shirma loved music and Trinidadian food. She will be missed deeply by her loved ones.
Shirma is survived by her children, LaToya Salter and Victor Smith; her siblings, Kathleen Carter and Foster Garcia; grandchildren, Isaiah Dixon, Mikayla Salter, Ava Salter and Tyson Salter. Shirma leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2pm at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
