Obituary for Susan Ann Benoit
Susan Ann Benoit (nee Clauss), age 68, of Bordentown, NJ passed away in the comfort of her own home while surrounded by loving family on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Susan was born and raised in Riverside, NJ before moving to Bordentown 30 years ago. Everything that Susan did was pursued with purpose, and done to the best of her abilities. She was a South Jersey Women’s Chess Champion, which also earned her a National Ranking. Susan was a brilliant poker player, outstanding golfer, an exceptional cook, and a quality quilter. She was a dedicated employee of GKN Heoganaes for over 45 years, where she was the manager of customer service. But above all, she cherished the time spent with friends and family and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Susan was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Roland J. Benoit, in 2013; and her brother, Christopher Clauss. She is survived by her siblings, Joseph A. Clauss (Judy), Mark A. Clauss, Gerry A. Clauss (Linda), Mary Jo Adamita (Sal), Brian Clauss (Barb); her “children” Westie Terriers, Duke and Dakota; many nieces and nephews; and many step-siblings.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM on Thursday, December 10th at Saint John Neumann RC Church, 560 Walton Ave, Mount Laurel, NJ. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan’s name may be made to Samaritan Health Care and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
