Obituary for Teresa Rowe (Lanza)
Teresa Rowe (nee Lanza), of Voorhees, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2022. She was 98 years of age and had lived a long and blessed life.
Mrs. Rowe was born in Harrisburg, PA to Charles Lanza and Louise Lanza (nee Garver). She was a devout Catholic and a proud graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School. After High School, she worked for Bell of Pa. as an operator and she was a model for the Watt & Shand department store in Lancaster. The family moved to N.J. in 1947 . She worked as an administrator for the Pennsauken Township School District where she was also a member of the PTA for twenty five years. Additionally, she was active in the Merchantville Women’s Club and the Mount Laurel Seniors Organization, and she was a member of the “Nine Holers” and enjoyed golfing with her friend, Marie. She took many cruises and loved traveling through Europe.
Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold W. Rowe, Sr., and her brother, Charles Lanza Jr. Surviving are her sons, Harold “Bill” Rowe, Jr. (Diane), Thomas C. Rowe (Elizabeth), and Robert Rowe (Denise McCausland); sisters, Ella Mae Massa and Ann Hamlin; brother, Guy Lanza; grandchildren, Tracy Grayson Rowe, William J. Rowe, David Scott Rowe, Jaime Koerner, Jennifer Rowe, Justin Rowe, Zachary Rowe, and Samantha Rowe; and great-grandchildren, Jack Rowe, Trey Grayson, Devin Grayson, and Mazie Koerner.
Funeral services are private. Entombment at Locustwood Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ, where she will rest next to her husband.
