Obituary for Thomas Frank Goldbacher
Thomas F. Goldbacher, age 70, passed away in his Mt. Laurel, NJ home on July 19, 2022.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frank and Mary Goldbacher, Tom moved to Mount Laurel in 1979 with his young family. Tom honorably served in the Marine Corps before entering civil service, working most recently as an Engineering Technician with Naval Sea Systems Command in Philadelphia, PA. Tom was an extremely adventurous and active man. In his free time, he enjoyed biking, playing ice hockey, kickboxing, hiking, fishing, and volleyball. He was also a member of the Corvette Club. But above all else, Tom loved spending time with his family and friends and will be extremely missed.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Joan K. Goldbacher (nee Lenz); children, Dawn Cruz (Rob), and Tom Goldbacher (Elyse); brothers, Ronald (Lois) and Robert (Carol) Goldbacher; grandchildren, Jacci Cruz, Alex Goldbacher, Alyson Goldbacher, and Emily Goldbacher; sister-in-law, Saundra Miller, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 1:00-3:00PM with a service immediately follow at 3:00PM. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Afterwards, all are welcome to join the family at a Celebration of Life. Casual attire is appropriate for both the visitation and celebration. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to either The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, or The Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association designating Hospice Care.
