Thomas J. Reilly III, age 63, passed away peacefully in his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born at The Naval Yard in Philadelphia, PA to parents, Bernice and Thomas, Jr. He spent his first five years in South Philadelphia, then moving to Riverside and finally residing in Delran, NJ before his current residence of 32 years in Marlton, NJ. Tom was an extremely hardworking entrepreneur. He was a member of Local Union 98 IBEW in Philadelphia, PA. In 1986 he started TNT Equipment where he served as president until 2015. Tom had a strong passion for sports, growing up he loved playing baseball and football, and grew to be a dedicated fan of The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and Philadelphia Flyers. He was the league representative for Marlton Football with the Garden State Youth Football League for 15 years. Tom coached youth sports for over 20 years including softball, football, hockey, and lacrosse. Tom was a member of Saint Joan of Arc Church in Marlton and helped maintain the lights and bells at the church. Tom had an enormous personality and an even bigger heart that people naturally gravitated towards. He loved meeting new people and made a new friend in every room he entered. Tom was the example of generosity, extending help to those in need whether he had known them for 20 minutes or 20 years. He was a larger than life character, and his presence will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Faith Reilly; children, Meghan Scullin (John), Thomas J. Reilly IV (Melanie), and Patrick Reilly (Lucy Billings); parents, Bernice and Thomas Reilly Jr.; sister, Nancy Maurer (Jim); nieces and nephews, Stephanie Wojcik (Michael), JT Maurer (Helen Schiavo), Lorraine Pratt (Richard), and Danielle Dennion (Mark); great-nieces, Kelsea, Mackenzie, and Parker; and his beloved dog, Sheamus.
Family and friends are welcome to his viewing on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 4:00-8:00PM, and on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 9:00-10:30AM, at Holy Cross Preparatory Academy Auditorium, 5035 US-130, Riverside, NJ 08075. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30AM. Interment will follow the service at Jesus Bread of Life Cemetery & Mausoleum.
