Obituary for Timothy Charles Tuno

Timothy C. Tuno, age 70, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born in Mt. Holly, NJ to the late Clifford and Irene Tuno. He spent his mischevious days growing up in Masonville, as a youth getting into every bit of trouble he possibly could, even exhibiting a truck driver’s mouth many years before actually getting behind the wheel of one. When he turned 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps and bravely served for two years. For many years, Tim was a truck driver but spent the last 25 years working as a Warehouse Manager for Allied Beverage Group, where his co-workers were like family to him. Tim enjoyed watching a good sunset and a full moon, listening to Dean Martin or George Strait and hanging out with his family. He always looked forward to taking his vacations in Myrtle Beach and loved finally getting to vacation in Italy. He loved motorcycle rides, and spending time with his cats, Oreo and Diamond.

You didn’t know Tim without loving him, he left an impact on everyone and you always looked forward to your next interaction with him. He was quick with the comebacks and left everyone with a smile. As his disease progressed, he never lost hope, he never stopped smiling and he definitely didn’t lose his sense of humor, finding jokes in everything; he kept us going. But above all else, Tim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; he was a sucker for the little ones. He could always be found on the floor coloring, doing puzzles, watching a Disney movie, playing video games, even wearing a tiara if they asked, he just couldn’t say no.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Day-Tuno; children, Sherri Tuno, Dana Betzold (Kevin), Lisa Kempton (Michael), Jim Day, and Michael Day; siblings, Sharon Shine (Pete) and Joseph Tuno; grandchildren, Tenli, Devon, Calista, Easton, Alyssa, Alexandria, Christina, Liam, Mason, and McKenzie; and nieces and nephews, Tom, Ryan, Nathan, Danielle, Gabrielle, and his great niece, Gianna. He is predeceased by his brother, Clifford Thomas Tuno.

Family and friends are welcome to Tim’s viewing on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 4:00-6:30PM, followed immediately by his funeral service at 6:30PM. Both will be held at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will be on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:30AM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
