Obituary for Valentine Constantine Janus Jr.

Valentine C. Janus (87) passed away peacefully on September
26th, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Valentine served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Afterwards
he married Marie J Tambe (deceased in 2013), and they became
parents of six children. Val worked many years as a Wonder Bread
salesman for the Continental Baking Company until his retirement.
Val enjoyed sports and coached football at Pope Pius XII, and also
donated his time to coaching baseball for the Elmwood Park
Recreation Center. When he had time, he loved playing a round
of golf with his buddies. He was also an active member of the
Reserve Club in Elmwood Park.

Surviving are his six children—Valerie, Linda, Jeff, Jay (Lisa)
Ricky (Patricia), and Vicky. Left behind are his 5 grandchildren—Amanda Janus, Leigh-Ann
Friedel (Jeff Dorfman), Patrick V. Janus (Danielle), Heather Janus
and Thomas (TJ) Janus. Also, 2 step granddaughters————-
Fara Rizzi Daniels and Lauren Cornelius.
His sisters—Barbara Stern (Ken) from Fallbrook, California
and Alyce Tyburczy (Richard) from Mount Laurel. Also surviving
are his many neices, nephews and cousins.
Valentine and Marie were married just shy of 60 years before
her death in 2013. They are now reunited and dancing in Heaven.
