William “Bill” Matthew Marley, Jr.
April 28, 1962 – January 7, 2024
William “Bill” Matthew Marley Jr., 61, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Born in Pittsfield, MA, Bill was a 1980 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton, MA and attended UMASS. Bill was a property manager at Conifer Realty LLC, NJ. Before moving to Philadelphia and later Lumberton NJ with his wife, he worked for Roliva Wine Importers, Blue Bird Estates and the Arbors.
Bill was passionate about life, he loved wine, golf, sports, theater, music, travel, family and friends. An avid golfer over the years, he won many championships and tournaments. Bill and his wife, Jamie Williamson, were members of the Burlington (NJ), Wilbraham (MA), and Wahconah (MA) Country Clubs. Bill was a huge sports fan and a self-proclaimed #1 fan of the Los Angeles Raiders- Even though they are no longer in Los Angeles!
Bill enjoyed watching old movies and attending the theater with his wife. He loved listening to the sounds of Motown- Pandora not Alexa! He especially loved Diana Ross and the Supremes because they reminded him of the few cherished memories he had of his mother, happily watching her play their records and dance around the house. Bill enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends and he especially enjoyed the annual family trips to Cancun. He loved to take Jamie and her mother Lois, on traveling adventures – they had fun as the “Traveling Three Musketeers.”
Bill was the kind of friend that everyone loved, easy going and fun loving. He will always be known as the guy who ended every sentence with a smile. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bill leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend Jamie. On October 12, 2023, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He leaves his daughter, Kristina Marley, Pittsfield, MA and granddaughter Kalyn Marley Daniels; his three sisters — Cheryl Major Springhill, FL, Pamela Verenazi (Greg), Ghent, NY, Babette Martin (Rick), Pittsfield MA; and two brothers — John Marley (Amy), Pittsfield, MA, and Ronald Petell, Stephentown, NY, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved. He also leaves behind his mother in-law Lois Williamson, sisters and brothers-in-law Catherine Williamson, her son, Spencer Doyle, Rhonda Virgo, James Williamson and John Bianchino.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, Rosemary (Corkins) Marley and father, William M. Marley Sr., his brother Richard Petell and his brother-in-law Bill Allen (Cheryl).
Services will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Mt. Laurel Home for Funerals. 212 Ark St. Mt. Laurel, NJ.
