Obituary for William Chester Stout

William Chester Stout, “Bill” age 76, of Medford, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022, with his family by his side.

Bill was born on May 16, 1946, to the late Sarah “Sally” and Arthur Stout in Pittsburgh, PA. He was strong in his Catholic faith and a member of St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford. A tireless worker, Bill had a 30-year career at Bell Atlantic in which one of his many accomplishments was leading his team in implementing the first 911 service in the Philadelphia area. After retiring from Bell, he spent 20 years at First Data as an Operations Project Manager. In his retirement, he worked as a job coach for teens with special needs and as a very active board member for St. Vincent de Paul Society. Bill devoted his life to his family, and he will be missed deeply by them.

Bill is predeceased by his sister, Patricia Canavan, his uncle Hugh Boyle, and aunts, Eleanor Boyle and Anna Mae Joyce and uncle Mickey Boyle. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Robin Lohman Stout; his children, Melissa Crain (John), William Stout (Lauren), Matthew Stout (Megan) and Alan Stout (Melissa); brothers, Charles and Brian Stout; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Sydney, Ryan, Owen, Brady, Madelyn, Olivia, Audrey, and Willa; Aunt Eileen; Bill leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 5PM-7PM at St. Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 11AM at the church. The interment will follow mass at Park View Cemetery, 25 Fostertown Rd, Medford, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O. Box 1131, Medford, NJ 08055.
