Obituary for Young Bin Lee M.D.

Young Bin Lee M.D., age 85, of Medford passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022.

Young was born in Korea on March 21, 1937 to the late Inshik and Suksin Lee. Young was a renowned Neuro Psychiatrist, retiring from Center for Family Guidance. Young served as 1st Lieutenant as a medical officer in the South Korean Army for 2 years. He received The Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the Outstanding Asian-American Award by the Asian-American Heritage Council. Young was President of the Korean-American Medical Association of Greater Philadelphia and President of the Federation of Korean-American Association of New Jersey. He was a member of the New Jersey State Advisory Board: Public Employees Occupational, Safety and Health, Human Relations Communication in Burlington County and the English as a Second Language Advisory Board. Young was also a member of the South Jersey Psychiatric Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Neurology and American EEG Society. He was Assistant Clinical Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a lecturer for Yonsei University Medical School.

Young is survived by his loving wife Eukyung "Eulie" Lee; his children, Edward Lee (Chittima), Susan Lee (Joe Parente), Ellen Lee (Lou Romano), Janet Hung (Brian) and Jason Lee; his sister, Young Sook Kim (Byong Hak Kim); his grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Joseph, Samuel, Roman, Ava, Grayson, Nathan and Elizabeth; Youngs leaves behind friends and colleagues.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 9am – 11am at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.

Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at 5pm at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Trenton, 147 US Route 130, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
