Obituary for Barbara Ann Lis (Fogel)

Print
Barbara A. Lis (nee, Fogel) of Maple Shade, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home. She was 53 years of age.

Barbara was raised in Moorestown, NJ before moving to Mount Laurel and finally Maple Shade. In her leisure she loved cooking, the outdoors, gardening (especially vegetables and the biggest sunflowers around), animals (Cooper, her German Shepherd, and Tiger the cat), and visiting the beach. She loved helping others more than anything else and was always donating to the Purple Heart and the Vets. If you ever needed anything, you knew you could count on Barb. She would have done anything for anybody if she could. She was extremely creative, sentimental, and always on the go. You barely ever caught her sitting! She fought hard against many medical hardships and always had a positive attitude.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Lis, and son, Christopher Rudolph. She is survived by her son Michael (Sheri) and her very soon to be grandson Travis Timothy. She is also survived by her mother, Florence Fogel, sister Marilyn Fogel (Chris Swarth), brother Fred Fogel (Linda), niece Dana Swarth, nephew Evan Swarth (Meghan), and many other caring relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM and on Saturday the 27th from 2:00-3:00 PM immediately followed by a memorial service all at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 318 Chester Ave, Moorestown, NJ. Interment will be at Eldridge Cemetery in Mount Laurel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund.
