Obituary for Albert De Christie

Albert P. De Christie Albert Philip, 90, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly, NJ. Mr. De Christie was born in Camden, New Jersey and grew up in Glendora. He lived in Mount Ephraim for 20 years before moving to Mount Laurel in 1970. Mr. De Christie worked for RCA in Camden and Freihofer's Bread Company. Additionally, he was co-founder and partner of Albo TV & Appliances in Haddon Heights; co-founder and partner of Guardian Title Insurance Company in Cherry Hill and retired from Chicago Title Insurance Company at the age of 62. Albert was an active member of the Mount Laurel Sons of Italy, Cabrini Lodge. Mr. De Christie honorably served his country in the US Navy (Seabees) during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sophia (nee Kolesinski); daughter, Diane Ferren (husband Edward) of Sachse, TX; son, Albert, Jr. (wife Janet) of Florence, NJ; grandsons, Joshua (wife Tara) and Matthew; and great grandson, Joshua, Jr. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ 08036. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Those wishing to make donations in memory of Mr. De Christie may do so to the American Cancer Society.
