Obituary for Betty Chiavaroli

BETTY J. CHIAVAROLI of Marlton, New Jersey, passed away at home on January 28, 2016. Betty was born on December 9th in Goldsboro North Carolina to the late Sarah L Stanley-Minor and Johnny Stanley.   She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Stephen D. Chiavaroli. Mother of Angela Lomax , Darlene Lomax-Garrett, Arthur Lomax Jr., Kim Lomax and Keith Lomax (Tara). Grandmother to six grandchildren, Stephanie, DiShae, Brianna, Xavier, Danielle and Nasir. Sister of Lucille Harris and the late Janice Davis and brother William Stanley. She was also the aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Gwendolyn, Gladys, Virgie and Gerrie.   Betty worked as a bus monitor for the Ashbourne Transportations Company where she met the love of her life Stephen. She later worked as an office manager for a medical supply company until her grandchildren were born, after which she opened up a small private daycare in her home to accommodate her grandchildren. Betty loved children. She knew how to comfort, nurture and bring out the best in her children, their friends, her grandchildren, their friends and in her large extended family. She was an immaculate dresser and had a designer eye for fashion. Betty was very proud of the beautifully decorated and well maintained home she and Stephen shared. She was the ultimate hostess. Everyone who entered her home felt welcomed and were well fed. She celebrated birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas with delicious meals and gifts for everybody who came to her door. She was an avid reader and enjoyed talking about current events with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all.   Family and friends are invited to a visitation on February 6th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM immediately followed by Betty’s Memorial Service at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, New Jersey 08054. Burial will follow at Medford Cemetery, Medford, NJ.
