Obituary for Catherine Dahms

Catherine L. Dahms Catherine L. (nee Mooney) Dahms, of Mount Laurel, NJ, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014. She was 83. A long-time resident of Delran, NJ Catherine was born in Philadelphia to the late Leo and Kathryn Mooney. An avid reader, traveler, and excellent cook, Catherine was also formerly a devoted employee of Sears Roebuck in Trevose, PA, volunteer at Samaritan Hospice, and member of the Willingboro Friendship Guild and the Riverfront Senior Citizens Association. Catherine was the beloved and devoted wife of 48 years to the late George Dahms, Sr.She is survived by her children: Christine Burke (Terry) of Mullica Hill, Dennis Dahms (Alice) of Haddonfield, NJ, George Dahms (Barbara) of Bordentown, Stephen Dahms (Janet) of Delanco, Louann Szypulski of Burlington, eleven loving grandchildren: Brandon, Catherine, Brian, Dennis Jr, Matthew, Erin, Michael, Nicole, Stephen, Victoria, William, and two great-grandchildren: Ariana and Brynlee. A viewing and funeral commemorating her life will be held at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. The viewings will be Thursday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday, February 7th from 10:30-11:30 AM both at the funeral home. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 12:00 Noon at Saint John Neumann RC Church, 560 Walton Ave, Mount Laurel. Entombment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Catherine's name to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
