Obituary for Edward Brown

Edward S. Brown Edward Shervan, 73, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ. Mr. Brown was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in the Moorestown and Mount Laurel area for just about all of his life. Edward was a man who proudly served his Lord, his family, and his community. He was an active member in his church. He loved his family, friends and was always ready to help out when he could. He served his community in law enforcement for 36 years as a police officer and detective. After retirement he continued to serve as a member of the Coast Guard Auxillary. Ed loved boating, salt-water fishing as well as gun collecting. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothea Brown (nee Barrett); children, Edward and Dianne Brown, Kimberly Brown, Timothy Brown, Karen and Keith Adams, Deborah and Mark Shernoff, Patricia and Michael Murray, Wendy and Carl Cicali, Charles and Kelly Simon, and Rose and Stephen Crass; sisters Sandra Meaney (Mike), Kathleen Birdsall (Bill), and Susan Borchert; as well as 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown was predeceased by his sister Patricia Delany. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church, 318 Chester Ave., Moorestown, NJ 08057. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Ed may be made to the local coast guard.
