Obituary for Elaine Mendelson

Elaine Rita Mendelson (nee Fels), age 81, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Mrs. Mendelson was born in Philadelphia, PA and resided in Mount Laurel, NJ. She was a member of the Masonville United Methodist Church and the Red Hatters. Elaine immensely enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her leisure, she could be found reading, painting, playing pinochle and listening to her husband, Jerry play the harmonica. She also liked to travel. Elaine is predeceased by her sister, Dolores Calhoun. She is survived by her spouse, Jerome “Jerry”; children, David (Lisa), Eric (Katie), Rich (Michele); Debra, and Jerome, Jr; sister, Jeanne Welsch; grandchildren, Joshua, Alexa, Benjamin, Jacob, Colton, Ashley and Brooke; and great-grand-daughter, Scarlett. Memorial donations in Elaine’s name may be made to the Masonville United Methodist Church 200 Masonville Centerton Rd, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054 or to the World Wildlife Fund at https://secure.worldwildlife.org/donations/memorial-donation.aspx?sc The family will schedule a memorial service to be held at a later date.
