Obituary for Elizabeth Hughes

Elizabeth Hughes (nee Campbell), 85, of Moorestown, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Power Back Rehabilitation Center in Moorestown. Mrs. Hughes was born in Philadelphia, PA and had lived in the South Jersey area for the past 57 years, residing in Cinnaminson for 28 years, Mount Laurel for 23 years, and Moorestown since 2013. She was a police dispatcher for Cinnaminson Township for 15 years. After retirement, Mrs. Hughes became bridal consultant at Strawbridge’s in Cherry Hill. Mrs. Hughes was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, and Saint John Neumann Church in Mount Laurel. She was a devout prayer partner and prayer group leader. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband of 65 years, Deacon John P. Hughes; children, John Hughes (Joan), Shawn Hughes-Camp (Thomas), and Erin Blank (Andrew); sister, Carole Miller; grandchildren, Kelly Blank, Josh Blank, Ryan Camp, Kelsey Hughes, and Keith Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Amelia and Brody. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 21, from 9:45-10:30 AM, immediately followed by the funeral liturgy, both at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ. Entombment will be private at Calvary Cemetery.
