Obituary for Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth M. Smith Elizabeth Mary Smith (nee Stratton) passed away peacefully on Sunday May 10, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Elizabeth was 90 years of age. Born in Beach Haven New Jersey on October 20, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Hannah (Cramer) and Carol W. Stratton. Elizabeth was a graduate of Barnegat High School and Episcopal Hospital Nursing School where she began her career as a Registered Nurse. She continued her nursing career with Burlington County Memorial Hospital upon moving to New Jersey. Elizabeth enjoyed writing poetry, playing cards, walking on the beach and spending time with her family. Elizabeth was the treasurer of the Mt Laurel Senior Association and the Episcopal Alumni Association. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Frederick W. Smith. She is survived by her 6 loving children Wesley Allan (Sandra), Bradley Andrew, Douglas Michael, Betsy Lynne (Alex Sanchez), Cynthia Louise (Carl Bubnowski), and Jeri Ann. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitations will be held on Thursday, May 14th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Friday, May 15th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM immediately followed by a memorial service, all at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elizabeth’s name may be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
