Obituary for Harlan Parver

HARLAN P. PARVER Harlan Paul Parver of Mount Laurel, NJ formerly of Wayne, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Born in Brooklyn New York, the son of Monroe and Lena Parver, deceased. Beloved husband of Marget Parver, nee Fischer of 54 years. Proud father of Yvonne Parver-La Motta and husband Dr. Joseph D. La Motta of Mt. Laurel and Karen Parver of New York City and his beloved granddaughters Morgan Ann and Chloe Madison La Motta. Dear brother of Lester Parver and sister in law Lorraine of Scottsdale, AZ and their children Allen Parver, Gail Parver and Denise Peters. Dear uncle of Lisa Stadler and Dr. Walter Stadler with daughters Madeline and Lauren Stadler of Chicago, IL. Mr. Parver was very proud to have served the United States Army as a petroleum specialist. He was a Textile Engineer who attended Straubenmuller Textile High School, now known as FIT, and graduated from Philadelphia College of Textile and Sciences, now known as Philadelphia University. He worked in several large and small textile companies as a chemist, fabric designer, director of product development, director of sales and marketing as well as a textile arbitrator. He traveled extensively during his career to Europe, South America, the Orient and Asia. He loved all types of music from rock and roll to country to classical. Harlan was a sports enthusiast but above all, loved the New York Yankees. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM immediately followed by a funeral service all at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made in his name to Saint John Neumann, Roman Catholic Church, 560 Walton Avenue, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey 08054.
