Obituary for Jason Kilderry

Jason Kilderry, age 35, of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away with loving family by his side on Monday December 18, 2017. Jason was born in Stratford, NJ, raised in Clementon, NJ and Cherry Hill, NJ. He most recently resided in Chestnut Hill, PA.  As a young boy, he loved tromping through the woods, in camo gear, with his paintball gun, near the bungalow he shared with his father.  Through his youth, Jason loved camping at Hospitality Creek, where he and his Dad had many happy hours of fishing, hiking, campfires and eating hotdogs. Jason received a B.S. from Rowan University and M.S. from A.T. Still University, studying exercise science, physiology and training theory. This combination led him to create ETA Coach and Cythera Health.  His two companies applied evidence-based science to fitness and well-being.   Thousands of athletes of all skill levels benefitted from his immense knowledge and gift of positive encouragement.  Jason's bright personality and voracious consumption of medical research journals made him a fixture in the tri-state endurance athlete community.  He was an accomplished public speaker who presented at numerous conferences, universities, and clubs.  Jason was the coach of the Drexel University triathlon team, and was the track coach for the Valley Forge Fasttracks running club.  By far, what filled Jason with the most joy was his son Finn.  Time with Finn was his priority.  If Jason had to work, Finn was most often with him, attending athletic events, such as the open swims at the lake.  For so many of his family and friends who were connected with him on social media, #FinnFriday will be forever cherished. Jason used this each Friday to share with us what adventures he and his buddy were up to that day.  One of Jason’s and Finn’s favorite things to do was to enjoy a day on the beach in North Wildwood with Finn’s mother Jessica and Finn’s brother Brady. Jason was truly a devoted father. Predeceased by his father, Dennis Kilderry, he is survived by his mother Deborah Kilderry; son, Finn William Kilderry; Finn’s Mother, Jessica Seniuk and her son Brady; siblings, Dennis Kilderry, Lori Kilderry, Tara Murphy,  Lee VanderWoude, Corrie Gaspar, Jodi Boyd and Kenneth Lundberg. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, December 30th at 10:00am at Sovereign Grace Church, 111 Greentree Road, Marlton NJ 08053.
