Obituary for Jean Morgan

JEAN E. MORGAN Jean Ellen (nee Eastburn), 84, of Mount Laurel, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, at home. She was born to the late Jesse and Gertrude Eastburn on July 8, 1931 in Riverside, New Jersey. One of nine children born to the Eastburn family and the first girl. She married the late Allan R. Morgan, Sr. in 1950, and their first home was on the outskirts of Mount Holly, but they lived most of their married life in Rancocas Woods, NJ before relocating to Mount Laurel, NJ after retirement. Jean was generally a stay-at-home mom, but was always very active in support of her family. After the children were in school, Jean began driving for the Mount Laurel School System, specifically the Special Education children. She did this for 25 years before retiring. Then in 2004, at 73 years of age, she began working with the after-school program for the local schools in Mount Laurel. She continued working until the fall of 2014 when she became ill. Jean was a member of the Senior Adults (SALT) at Fellowship Baptist Church in Mt. Laurel and a member of the Red Hats. She is survived by four children: Cynthia Jean Bintz (David) missionaries in Spain, Allan Robert, Jr. (Lynn) of Southampton, NJ, Kathleen Virginia Bauer (Joseph) of Seaville, NJ, and Terri Lee Burns (Joseph) of Mays Landing, NJ; brothers, Harry B. and Jesse Jay Eastburn; sisters, Mary Ann Sanderlin, and Virginia May Mortland; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. One grandchild, Jay Hamby, deceased. A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 9:00 to 11:00 am immediately followed by the funeral service both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Interment will be at the Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Lighthouse Hospice, Cherry Hill or SALT (Seniors Adults Living Triumphantly) at Fellowship Community Church.
