Obituary for Joan Smith

JOAN A. SMITH Joan Arline (nee Kelly), 82, of Lumberton, New Jersey died Monday, June 22, 2015 at Riverview Estates in Riverton, NJ. Mrs. Smith was born in Philadelphia, PA and had been a resident of this area since 1962. She was a nurse for the Evergreens Nursing Home in Moorestown, NJ; retiring in 1980. Mrs. Smith will be remembered as a devoted wife and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Nile Curtis Smith in 1999 and is survived by her children Deanna Chamberlain of Mount Laurel, NJ, Nila Kirwin (husband James) of Barrington, NJ, Patricia Guner (husband Joseph) of Trenton, NJ, and David Smith of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren Daniel, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Sarah, James, Michaela, and Joseph. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ. Interment will be at the Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Donations in memory of Mrs. Smith may be made to Riverview Estates, 303 Bank Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077.
