Obituary for John Joseph Grimes
John Joseph Grimes, age 89, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away while surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
Mr. Grimes was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Mount Laurel. He was a retired Philadelphia police lieutenant and a dedicated employee of thirty years for M. Levin & Company. Above all else, he cherished his time spent with his family and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
John was predeceased by his beloved spouse, Joan Grimes (nee Beck); brother, William Leahy; sister, Helen Coppola; son-in-law, Larry Kviklys. He is survived by his daughters, Carolan Kviklys and Kathleen Middleton (Jay); grandchildren, Scott, John, Laura, Lisa, Jillian and Marissa.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 9th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM also on Saturday, June 9th at Saint John Neumann RC Church, 560 Walton Ave, Mt. Laurel, NJ. Interment will follow at New Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s name may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
