Obituary for Larry Lee Humphrey

Larry Lee  Humphrey
Larry Lee Humphrey, 77, of Mount Laurel, passed away on August 9, 2018 after a brief battle with ocular melanoma. He was born on September 2, 1940 in Hopewell, Virginia. On June 25, 1966 he married Mary Klesken and together they shared a wonderful and blessed 52 years of marriage.

Larry earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Cincinnati and his master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, both in electrical engineering. He went on to earn another master’s degree, in computer science, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for 47 years at Lockheed Martin. He was stationed as an Army Officer in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. He was an adjunct professor at Burlington County College and Rutgers University. Larry was a dedicated family man. He enjoyed sailing, woodworking and amateur radio. He is remembered for his brilliant mind and uncanny wit.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Mary; daughter and son in law Laureen and David Ressler; son and daughter in law Bradley and Megan (McGurkin).

Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 14 at 10:00. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM. Both will be at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church at 318 Chester Avenue in Moorestown, New Jersey, 08057. Interment will follow on church grounds. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Matthew Lutheran Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
