Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mamie DiCaro can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: The Tursi Family
Condolence: Our mom and Aunt Mae met in May 1961 at the hospital where their sons Anthony and Larry were born. From their very first meeting,they bonded and became lifelong friends. They always had a very special connection and both of them considered each other their best friend. Their friendship was so special that she became Aunt Mae to all of us children. During the child rearing years they did not always see each other every day but their time together was always something special.
After their children were grown, their friendship grew into weekly mahjong games which they played together for many years. We will never know how special their bond together actually was, however when our dad passed and mom lived alone at Brighton, Aunt Mae was a constant visitor. Playing cards and visiting became a regular occurrence. At the end of our mother's life Aunt Mae visited her each and every day, staying for hours... people thought she lived there. Those days were very precious to our mom and I know they were special to Aunt Mae as well. We were all grateful to her for keeping our Mother's last days so full of love.
Aunt Mae continued to be a special part of our family even after our mother passed. We always enjoyed her lekvar cake and cannolis which she shared so generously with all of us. Whenever possible, when our sister Linda came in from Vegas she would pick up Aunt Mae and they would spend hours playing Mahjong together.
Aunt Mae looked forward to Linda coming home as much as we did. Your mom shared showers, weddings, and many special occasions together with our family. She always looked forward to December and May when we would get together for our biannual luncheon, a special time to catch up and share family stories.
Aunt Mae will be missed by all of us. We share your sorrow, but know that the two best friends are together once again in heaven.
