Obituary for Margaret McAndrew

Margaret Ann McAndrew (Perree) on August 2, 2015, age 83, of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Peg was born in New Brunswick, NJ, to the late Theophile (Ted) and Alice Cody Perree. After her father’s death, she was raised by her mother and her much loved stepfather, Edward White. In 1952 she married the love of her life, Francis X. McAndrew. Frank and Peg had three children, Patrick (Terry), Eileen (Robert) Lambert and Michael. After Frank’s death in 1960, Peg devoted her life to raising her family while working at the switchboard and later for the prosecutor’s office of Middlesex County. During her life, Peg lived in East Brunswick, NJ; Redondo Beach, CA, and retired to Brigantine, NJ where she lived happily by the sea. Peg was a wonderful mother and sister and is survived by her loving children and her sisters, Alice (Clark) Steinman, Edwina Yazdan, Joan Deiner and her sister-in-law, Olive Brannen. She was a gracious and thoughtful aunt and will be missed greatly by many nieces, nephews and their children. Most of all Grandma Peggy will be forever missed and loved by her grandchildren, Joseph (Sarah), Ian and Timothy McAndrew and Colleen (Alex) and Kathryn Lambert and her new great-grandson, himself, Frank G. McAndrew . Peg will be buried beside her Frank at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick in a private ceremony. There will be a memorial service in the fall with friends and family to celebrate her well-lived life. Arrangements by Mount Laurel Home for Funerals.
