Obituary for Mark Makaila

Mark James John “Markie” Makaila, 17, of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on September 15, 2015 at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by his loving family and in the arms of his brother. Mark was a student at Archbishop Damiano School and a yearly attendee of the PALS summer camp at JCC Katz in Cherry Hill, NJ. Markie was a big time Phillies fan and a participant of the Camden County Miracle League, which is a special needs baseball league out of Cherry Hill where Markie played with his brother, Ryan. Markie always had a contagious smile on his face; he had a big heart and was an inspiration to everyone who was fortunate to meet him. Mark is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Marianne; brother, Ryan; grandmother, Mom-Mom; aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service beginning at 11 AM on Saturday, September 19th at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Road, Medford, NJ. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Markie’s name may be made to Archbishop Damiano School, 1145 Delsea Drive, Westville, NJ 08093. Arrangements by Mount Laurel Home for Funerals.
