Obituary for Mathilde Sophie Skacel
Mathilde “Tilli” Sophie Skacel, age 95, of Medford, NJ passed away while surrounded by loving family on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Mrs. Skacel was born and raised in Hamburg, Germany and had resided in Willingboro, NJ before moving to Medford. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary of the Lakes RC Church in Medford. In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and traveling back to her home country of Germany.
Mathilde was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Adolf A. Skacel. She is survived by her children, Wolfgang, Michael and Thomas Skacel, Ursula Jennings, Marie Szolna, Irene Skacel; grandchildren, Nathan Skacel, Alex Skacel, Justin Skacel, Tamina Nunnenkemp, Sean Skacel, Crystal Kurek, Jonathan Szolna, David Szolna, Alyssa Chilton; and 11 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 10:00 to 11:45 AM immediately followed by mass of the Christian burial, both held at Saint Mary’s of the Lake RC Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ 08055. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery also in Medford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mathilde’s name may be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice of Mount Holly, 175 Madison Ave, 2 South, Mount Holly, NJ 08060.
