Obituary

Nicole Marie Griscom, age 49, of Ewing Township, NJ passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her own home on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Ms. Griscom was born in Cherry Hill, NJ and had lived in Mount Laurel, NJ before moving to Ewing Township. She was a graduate of Lenape High School and acquired a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University Cook Campus. She was extremely fond of Birding, cultivating flowers and kayaking. She was an avid soccer player and fan. She loved her vacations in Maine with her parents. Attending jazz and blues concerts and musical venues brought great enjoyment to her. Michael Companick, her significant companion was a huge part of her life. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with family, friends, and coworkers at DEP, and she will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. Our hearts are broken.

Nicole is survived by her parents, George and Arlene Griscom; brother, Scott Griscom and Kelly; niece, Katie; nephew, Ryan.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Final disposition will be private. At the request of the family, flowers are encouraged and greatly appreciated.

It has been a sorrowful year. Our hearts still ache in sadness, our tears still flow. No one will ever know what it has meant to lose you. Though we are forever far apart, you will forever be in our hearts. We love you and miss you terribly, our beautiful daughter, Nicole. Love you always, Mom and Dad

Beyond where the eye can see...a beautiful soul shines on. Happy Birthday Nicole! You brightened up the world with your presence, and now you brighten up the skies. I will always miss you. Always caring, giving and loving, an environmentalist, an activist, a genuine, beautiful person both inside and out. You were God's beautiful gift to all who knew you, and to the world. I Love You! Your Aunt Jo

“Already I forget those things,
And how a vein of gold survives
The mining of a thousand springs,
The season of a thousand lives.

Now winter is my memory,
Now autumn, now the summer light -
So every spring from now will be
Another season into night."

Part 2 of 2 from the "Kender Mourning Song" by Michael Williams.
Dragonlance Chronicles Vol. 3: Dragons of Spring Dawning by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman.
In loving memory.

"Always before, the spring returned,
The bright world in its cycle spun
In air and flowers, grass and fern,
Assured and cradled by the sun.

Always before, you could explain
The turning darkness of the earth,
And how that dark embraced the rain,
And gave the ferns and flowers birth."
Part 1of 2 from the "Kender Mourning Song" by Michael Williams.

We will never forget you.
