Obituary for Paul Michael Zarrillo

Paul Michael  Zarrillo
Paul Michael Zarrillo passed away peacefully at his home in Langhorne, PA on February 13, at the age of 65, after a lengthy illness. Paul was the devoted and loving husband of his wife, Barbara (nee Malinowski) for 36 years. He is survived by his brother, Anthony J. Zarrillo Jr. and his wife, Lauren, and niece, Maddalena. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony J. Zarrillo, Sr. and Anne Zarrillo (nee Scalera) and niece, Liana.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was a former resident of Bloomfield, NJ. He graduated from Wall High School in Wall Township, NJ in 1970 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Trenton State College in 1974. He continued with graduate studies at Villanova University.

Paul was employed for over 36 years with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Environmental Measurements and Site Assessment – as a Site Remediation Technical Specialist.

He was passionate about music, especially Contemporary Christian, and the natural sciences. He shared his father’s love of the ocean and marine life, fishing, boating, crabbing. He enjoyed birding, and creating decorative tile products with his wife. In particular, he had an avid interest in Judeo-Christian studies and Eschatology. For over 15 years he attended Riverstone Church in Yardley, PA.

Paul will be remembered by his co-workers and friends for his great sense of humor, but he will be most cherished by family members for his role as Uncle Paul. He was the loving uncle of 30 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews. He was also adored by his many brother and sister-in-laws, and his mother-in-law, Jean Malinowski (nee Grassie).

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, February 17th from 9:00 to 11:00 Am immediately followed by the funeral service, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to: Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road, Ste. 1000, Silver, MD 20910.
