Obituary for Stella Van Lingen

Stella Van Lingen Stella "Steffie" (nee Luba), 84, of Mechanicsburg, Pa, formerly of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at home surrounded by her beloved family. Ms. Van Lingen was born and raised in New York City, NY. A graduate of St. Michael's Academy, Steffie furthered her education at St. Catherine’s School of Nursing in Brooklyn, NY, where she became a registered nurse. From there, Steffie attended St. John's University- School of Nursing in Jamaica, NY until she left to marry Leo Van Lingen. Steffie's faithful Catholic upbringing was evident in her loving spirit and humble heart. Steffie was a hard- working, dedicated mother, grandmother and employee. She retired as a medical case manager for PMA Insurance Company. She took great pride in her family, as well as her patient advocacy and career. Steffie is survived by her children; Jeannine Hart, M.D., Robert Van Lingen, Michael Van Lingen and Mia Oberosler; grandchildren Katie, Elena, Jennifer, Michael, Steven, Matthew, Ava and Alex. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated 11:30 AM at Saint John Neumann RC Church, 560 Walton Ave., Mt. Laurel. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport, NJ. In Lieu of Flowers, the family is requesting donations to Autism Speaks or Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
