Obituary for Stella A. Rulis (Rulis)
Stella A. Rulis, age 97, of Lumberton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2018, after living a long and blessed life.
Stella was born in Philadelphia, PA to John S. Rulis and Antoinette Rulis (nee Chechkauskas). She resided in Medford Lakes, NJ for 40 years, prior to moving to Lumberton in 2003. Stella worked as a secretary for RCA, in Riverton, NJ, until her retirement in 1983. She was a devout Roman Catholic and was a longtime communicant of Saint Mary of the Lakes Church, in Medford, NJ, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Additionally, she was a member of the Third Order of Saint Francis and a volunteer with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.
Surviving are her nephews, Walter (Virginia), Robert (Linda), and William (Lynn) Vogt; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Robert, Michael, Kimberly, William, Katie Lynne, Laura and Jonathan Vogt and David Crane.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed immediately by the funeral mass, both at Saint Mary of the Lakes Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Jones Road, Medford N.J. 08055; The Samaritan Center at Voorhees, 265 S. Route 73, Voorhees, N.J. 08043 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
