Obituary for Thomas Conrad "Tom" Jones
Thomas C. Jones
Thomas Conrad Jones of Mount Laurel, NJ passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old.
Mr. Jones was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He had resided in Jackson Heights, NY before moving to Mount Laurel 50 years ago. Mr. Jones honorably served his country, in the United States Marine Corps, during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked for 44 years as an Insurance Representative, for Commercial Union Insurance, in Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling to Daytona Beach, attending sporting events, cooking, and singing.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Theresa (nee Lafaye); sons, Thomas Jones, Jr. (Stacie), Glen Jones (Audrey), and Jeff Jones (Kim) and grandchildren, Jordan, Megan, Michael, Brent, and Jack. He was predeceased by his sisters, Harriett and Dorothy and his brother, Jack.
Friends and relatives are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, March 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, March 14, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 14, at 10:00 AM, also at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals. Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia PA 19140.
